Lynda says:
Lynda smiled warmly and motherly. She leaned over and softly touched Jamie's face and began to wipe away his tears as she always did when he cried. "Listen baby, you nor any of the others did anything wrong," she said. "All married people go through what they call a rough patch and then when you add all the stress of things like Hoss's heart problems and being a new stepparent trying to get along with the stepchildren, it creates a perfect storm," she said. "And sometimes that storm gets so full that when it does finally let out the rain, innocent people do get hurt, but that doesn't mean that after the storm there isn't a rainbow," she said with a smile.

Lynda let out a chuckle as she continued speaking to her son. "Don't worry, you'll do the same thing to your children," she told him. "And then you'll understand why I told you I had eyes everywhere," she said with a laugh and then cleared her throat. When she felt Jamie lay his head on her shoulder, she couldn't help but smile and then softly kissed the top of his head. "I know you will, though just between you and me," she told Jamie in a warm and playful tone. "I don't mind if you mess up occasionally. It will keep me on my toes," she said as she once more kissed the top of his head. "Besides, having a copy of your father isn't as bad as I sometimes make it," she said laughing like her old self.

Then she put the truck in gear and started back down the road once they were done talking. "I'll tell you what," Lynda told her son. "I'll get this one, and you can get the next one," she told Jamie. "Is that a deal?" she asked him with a smile as she finally turned off the Ponderosa driveway and onto the highway. There was that silence there for a few minutes between Lynda and Jamie before she finally began to speak again. This time she began to talk about what he wanted his Ponderosa Ranch bedroom to look like. "So, you want your room at the Ponderosa Ranch to be dark blue, like your father's old truck?" she asked him. "Or are you wanting like a Navy blue?" she asked as she was trying to get ideas for Jamie's room so that she could put ideas down on paper so that she could draw things out before actually getting started.

GregHouse says:
House watches as Jamie continues to blink himself fully awake. He smiles some as he straightens up on the couch, scrubbing at his eyes with the heel of his hand. "Do you need anything to help you wake you up. Some water or a Coke or some other soda?" he asks not even sure of his favorite drink.

He sees his confused frown easing, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to confuse you. I'm just usually not in here on Saturdays so I forgot what day it was myself."

"And no you weren't supposed to be anywhere" he answers him.

House smiles as he watches him pushing his palms against the couch cushion, sitting up better as he ran a hand through his hair. He notices as he gazes around the office to make sure he hadn't touched anything he shouldn't have. He chuckles as he thinks how much like him that is.

He sees his relief and hears his sigh of relief at hearing House admit it was his fault and not Jamie's.

"You could never mess anything up son" he says hoping to comfort him.

He chuckles at him searching his expression, "I'm not mad if that's what you're trying to see" he laughs.

"It's ok that you fell asleep. I just got here, but if you're tired I can leave and we can go home" he says not really wanting to stay anyway.

He shakes his head, "No I'm not mad. You were obviously just tired" he says then continues, "You can stay on the couch."

Lynda says:
"I know how old you were when I got you that," she said laughing. "And you looked so adorable, especially when you would try to run and fell because you couldn't get very far," she said laughing. "You would look down at the straps and then up at me with your little lip puffed out like this," she said and did the motion for a moment and then let out a sigh of contentment. "Those were the days when everything was hard but easy at the same time," she told him. Then she glanced over at Jamie and laughed. "Honey, you can stop hiding, it's only you and I in this truck," she told him as they turned onto the highway and headed to town.

"We will talk about your punishment later," she said as she listened to Jamie start blaming himself. As he talked about how he would fix things and that he didn't want her to leave th Ponderosa because of him. That just broke her heart to the point that she had to pull off the side of the road for a moment. After Lynda put the truck in park, she turned and looked at her son with soft, motherly eyes as she began to speak. "Sweetie, me leaving the Ponderosa isn't your fault," she said. "Ben and I have some problems that a lot of married couples go through," she told him as she touched his face softly.

"So I don't want you thinking that this is all your fault, yes you messed up, but Ben and I had this coming for a very long time," she told him. "And as for coming to visit me, you can, I mean I would rather you not see me in an isolation chamber, but if you want to come with your father, then you just go ahead," she told him and then she smiled again. "And don't think I won't know about everyrthing your do, especially in school," she told him. "I might be in a isolation chamber for a while, but I'm still your mom and I am always everywhere," she said laughing.

"I'm okay and you're not a srew-up," she said softly. "You made a mistake, you are only human. The main thing is that you learned from this and that's all that matters," she said as she moved his hands so that she could wipe away his tears. "Sweetie, you didn't ruin anything," she said with a smile on her face and then leaned in and softly kissed his forehead motherly. "Besdies, I'm counting on you and your fatherr to get into a bit of trouble," she said playfully.

"Now, do you feel better son?" she asked him with her warm motherly smile on her face. "Because my stomach is really wanting some chocolate chip ice cream, well...make that mint choccolate chip ice cream," she said with a chuckle.

House watched as his son slowly blinked awake, rubbing is eyes with the back of his hand. He notices the confused frown.

House nods, "I'm sorry I forgot that it's Saturday. I'm not used to coming in here much on Saturday. I avoid it if I can on weekends" he says.

He watched as Jamie looked around the office.

"You're right it is Saturday. No you didn't mess up, it was me forgetting what day it is."

Lynda says:
"Sweetie, I'm your mom and I'll let holding my son's hand go to my head," she started to tell Jamie as she started her truck. "Then that's my choice," she said with a huge grin on her face. "And nice try with that line of yours," Lynda told Jamie as she back away from the house and drove down the highway. "Although I suppose you could have used the kid lease that I still had from when you were just starting to walk," she said laughing again before she got serious.

"But anyway Jamie," she said as she continued to drive along the driveway. "You know you are going to have to be punished for what you did and not telling anyone," she added. "But we will talk about that later, when I get back from my treatments and my isolation room," she told him.  "But in the meantime, you'll be staying with your father at our house and not on the Ponderosa," she added as she got ready to turn off the driveway and onto the highway.

"Ben and I are taking a break from each other for a while," she told Jamie still be serious but with a motherly tone. "And I feel it's best that you should stay with your father instead of on the Ponderosa," she added. "Besides, I'll let him teach you how to drive, though I want you to swear to me that if something happens, you'll let me know immediately," she told him.
