Andrew was standing right behind Roy as they stopped on the jailhouse steps. He could see that the entire situation with Joe was taking his toll on Roy. Andrew didn't like how he was taking his time answering his questions, but as soon as he said that someone had got hurt, Andrew's attention stayed with Roy as he spoke and told him what happened. And when Roy said that Jennie was the one who had gotten hurt, Andrew felt his face harden with anger but there was something more behind the anger. There was worry because he didn't know what was going on with his little brother and because of that, he didn't know how to help Joe. And that bothered him more than anything in the world. "I keep telling her that when Joe gets like that, she needs to come find one of us and not try to handle him herself," Andrew said now feeling guilty because his baby sister gotten hurt. Andrew stayed silent until Roy was done explaining what happened. And though Andrew felt like he should say something, he just couldn't bring himself to. So, silence hung between them for several minutes. "I wish I knew," Andrew finally said to Roy as they continued to stand there for a few more minutes. "He's been like this ever since he was born," Andrew said as he took a deep breath. "Okay, let's go," Andrew told Roy as he was as prepared as he knew he was ever going to be, though his mind was still on Jennie and how badly she could be hurt. Roy then nodded and soon both he and Andrew was walking up the stairs and into the jailhouse, where Clem was waiting and Joe was locked up, though he was still very angry. Andrew said hello to Clem and they talked for a few minutes before finally taking him to where Joe was, which Andrew saw the destruction that Joe had left behind while fighting to stay out of jail.
Finally, Clem and Andrew made it to the jail cell that Joe was currently in. Clem took one look at Joe and then turned to Andrew and said that he will leave him alone with his brother. Andrew said thank you and after Clem left, Andrew turned to look at Joe. He wasn't angry, though he wasn't happy either. Andrew was disappointed not only in Joe and for the way that he acted, but in himself for not seeing the signs that Joe was in trouble. Neither of them said anything for a long time as Andrew stood there looking at Joe, who wouldn't even look at Andrew back. Finally, after what seemed like hours, Andrew broke the silence. "Joe," Andrew said softly as the disappointment came through his voice loud and clear. "What happened?" he asked his brother, wanting to hear in his own brother's words what exactly happened and how he ended up here. "Why did you set the school on fire?" Andrew asked as he thought about what their father was going to say and do when he found out about this. "Did you know that you hurt your own sister?" Andrew asked knowing that things would get even worse when their father found out that Joe burnt Jennie. Andrew's intention wasn't to overload Joe with a bunch of questions, at least not right off, but the moment the first question came out of Andrew's mouth then several others soon followed. Andrew shook his head and closed his eyes as he leaned against the jail cell. Deep down, Andrew knew he had to fix this, not just because he knew his little brother was in deep trouble, but because as the oldest, Andrew felt like he had to fix it. Andrew also felt like he had to protect Joe, not only from everyone but from himself. Silence fell between them, even though Joe hadn't said anything yet as Andrew stood there trying to figure out what he needed to do next. "Little Joe," Andrew said as his voice went low and gentler, but still loud enough for Joe to hear him. "Tell me what I need to do to help you, because right now, I don't know," Andrew told him sounding like he was going to cry but there were no tears, at least not on the outside that Joe could see.

Andrew let out not just a long disappointing sigh, but there was also mix of anger and embarrassment in it as well. Andrew felt his face burning red with embarrassment as he thought about the joke that he had just made and how he wished like hell that he could take it back now. But Andrew knew it was too late for that so, he cleared his throat and quickly looked away. Once Andrew had his composer again, he turned back to look at Roy, though Andrew didn't say anything for a little while. Andrew was too busy trying to figure out exactly what he could say or at least find a way to apologize for not only what Joe did but for the way he was acting. Finally, Andrew let out another disappointing sigh as he finally began to speak to Roy once more. "Just send all damage reports from both the school and from your jail and any place else that Joe happened to strike to my office, and I will make sure that all the damages are paid for," Andrew told Roy as he was already thinking about how Andrew was going to make Joe repay him for him covering Joe's ass once more. Andrew then once more cleared his throat as he began to speak to Roy once more. "Come on, I will walk with you over to the jail and you can fill me in on what exactly happened at the school to make Joe set it on fire," he said as he turned and locked up his truck.
As Andrew and Roy started to walk over to the jail, Andrew couldn't help but think about what Ben was going to say when he found out exactly what Joe had done to not only the school but to Roy's jail. As Roy and Andrew continued to walk, Andrew couldn't help but start to ask questions, especially ones that seemed he probably should have asked before they started over to the jail. "I probably should have asked this earlier before we started walking over to the jail," Andrew said and then went on speaking. "But did anyone get hurt during the school fire?" Andrew asked as he then went on to ask more questions. "And did anyone get hurt while taking Joe to jail?" he asked after the school burning question. Andrew knew that Joe could be very hard to handle, especially when he was as upset as Roy described. Though nobody spoke for a little while as they were walking over to the jailhouse, Andrew couldn't help but wonder what had gotten into Joe and why he was being so destructive as of lately. Finally, after walking another couple of blocks, Roy and Andrew reached the jailhouse and that's when Andrew stopped and turned to look at Roy. "Roy, I have to know, why did Joe set the school on fire?" he asked him before they went in.

"Oh, hey Roy," Andrew turned around with a smile on his face. He was just about to get into his truck and head home, after getting a few things from the hardware store. He could tell that Roy was having trouble telling him and Adam apart, which most people did, but it didn't bother Adam or Andy. "It's just me Andy," he said with a smile on his face and was chuckling. Andrew then turned and sat his bags inside his truck by going through the window. Something was telling Andrew that this wasn't just a happy visit. "So, what can I do for you Roy?" he asked getting right to the point. "Don't tell me that Little Joe tried to burn the school down," he said laughing, unknowingly that was exactly what Joe had done, or at least part of what he done.
