Re: Four Children, Once Storm, a Desert Island Yet Still a Family

from Laura on 05/27/2026 10:29 AM

Laura knew in the back of her mind that with their children, this cruise was going to be anything but boring. Laura listened to everything that Hoss had to say as she continued to run her hands up and down his bare chest and then ran her fingers seductively to through his chest hair as he continued to speak. And once he was done, she gave him a seductive smile and began to speak soft and low. "Well, I just wanted you to be prepared as to what I was packing for this cruise," she told him as she leaned in and softly kissed his lips and then moving slowly to his ear and neck, leaving a trail of little kisses as she made her way to his ear and neck. "And with our four little ones, the cruise would be anything but boring," she chuckled as she finally made it to his ear, finally slowly and seductively nibbling on his ear, letting out soft moans as she did so. When Laura's hands went back down to Hoss's mid-section, she then gently moved them around his body, pulling out his shirt until it was completely untucked. Laura stopped nibbling on his ear for a few minutes as she moved her hands up to his shoulders and began to push his shirt down as she was taking it off him. And as she did so, she looked deep into Hoss's eyes, watching the love start to shine through his eyes, which made her smile as she began to speak softly. "I don't have to take them, you know," she said playfully as she slipped his shirt all the way off, letting it fall to the floor as she spoke to him. "I just figured you would want to show off the hottie that only has eyes and love for you," she told him and then leaned in and whispered something seductively and sexual in his ear. "Besides, he might have to look in our room, if there's chocolate pie at the dessert table, because that's what I'll be wearing when you have dessert," she giggled and began to nibbled on his ear again. She could feel what she was doing to him, which was a very good thing. She knew it's been awhile since they made love, what with him recovering from heart surgery, and then the babies coming and them taking up all their time.

But now Hoss was better and the babies were old enough to sleep through the night, so she was going to take advantage of this time that they had before going on this cruise. She couldn't help but teasingly move her hips on his lap, feeling him getting more turned on and more aroused as she did so. Then, after letting out a soft moan as she felt his hand gently squeeze her inner thigh, Laura then gently pushed Hoss back until he was laying on his shirtless back. She couldn't help but smile as she spoke to him softly. "Good, let's give those guns a test drive," she said playfully looking down into Hoss's eyes as they finally began to slowly and passionately kissing, both savoring the kiss as if this was their first time sleeping together. Laura could still feel Hoss's gentle hand on her back, while the other stayed on her inner thigh as she closed her eyes so she could get lost in the passionate kiss they were experiencing at that moment. Finally, after breaking the kiss so that they could catch their breaths, Hoss smiled as he looked deep into Laura's eyes, who in turn was looking deep into his. Hoss then began to speak and ask if she had any idea how beautiful she really was? And the look in her eyes sparkled with more than enough love to last Hoss a lifetime and then some. Finally, she began to speak softly to him. "You make me feel beautiful," she said and then softly sat up just enough to softly and gently began to kiss Hoss's bare chest, knowing that Hoss would soon give into his feelings and desires, especially now that she softly and seductively kissing his bare chest while he was laying on his back. She only stopped what she was doing to answer his question. "I know it can," she whispered to him. "Because tonight, belongs to you and me," she whispered to him. "And right now, all I want is to please you in every way that I can and know how," she added as she went back to softly kissing his chest, slowly making her way down his body leaving soft and yet seductive kisses all over his body, even using her tongue to teasing him even more. "Oh believe me, the nanny and the cruise people will earn every cent this is costing Lynda," she whispered and then went on. "And once we are done loving on each other," she whispered as she still went on kissing all over his body. "I have a suggestion that I want to run by you," she added. "Now, buckle up baby," she said as she sat completely up and sliding back on his legs as she continued her thought while slowly and seductively unbuckling his belt. "Mama's gonna love on daddy until he screams hallelujah," she smirked as she unbuckled his belt and then slowly and teasingly started to unbutton his pants until they popped open and then very, very slowly started to unzip his pants as she watched his expressions.

Re: Four Little Cartwrights in Cowboy Boots with Roses for Mama for Mother's Day (2026)

from Laura on 05/27/2026 08:42 AM

"You're very welcome. I figured you could use a good lunch after working as hard as you do, even though it's mostly light work," she told him as she gave his hand a little squeeze and then went on before she went to her seat. "And do I wanna know exactly what Adam and Little Joe have been complaining about this morning" she asked as they let go of each other's hands and Laura went to her seat and sat down. Laura had a smile on her face as she began to listen to Hoss told her everything that he had been doing. She couldn't help but chuckle when he said that he liked the idea of bossing his brothers around a little too much. Then when Hoss started to eat his lunch, this gave Laura an opportunity to speak to him as she kept glancing over at Erica to Elijah to Ella and the huge mess they were making. "Well, don't go letting power go to your head," she told him playfully and yet with a touch of seriousness in her tone. "Someday you'll be back to working like them and we don't want them to take advantage of that, even though we both know they will," she said as she looked at Erica and Elijah and Ella horrid as they were now wearing the lunch instead of eating it. Laura let out a sigh and then started chuckling. "Well, at least you are able to do some things on the ranch, which I know you really missed being out on the ranch and felt guilty for not being able to help," she said as she finally picked up a fork full of food and placed it in her mouth and began to eat it as she watched her family enjoying their food. She chuckled and once her mouth was empty, she began to speak to Hoss again.

"Well, before we go anywhere, I know three little piggies that will need a bath before we go to town," she said as she once more looked around at Erica, Ella, and Elijah. Elle, however, still hadn't eaten a bite yet, just picked up her food and began to inspect it as if she was trying to decide if she should eat it or not. Laura cleared her throat and then went on speaking. This time, she went on talking about Mother's Day and what he was planning for his mother and Lynda. "I have an idea of what I'm sending my mom, but do you have any ideas on what you wanna get your mom and Lynda?" she asked him, knowing that she had some ideas of her own, in case he didn't have any, though she knew he would come up with something great for the both of them. And though she knew that she was the other mother Hoss had been thinking really hard about was her, though she couldn't help but tease him a little bit. "So, this other mother you have on your mind," Laura started once her mouth was emptied of food. "Is she pretty?" she asked him as already knew what his answer would be, but couldn't help asking anyway just as Elle was finally starting to eat her lunch, while the other three not only was playing their food but eating it as well. Elijah was definitely picking his food out of hair and eating, and as Laura was shaking her head as she looked back at Hoss with a smile on her face. "I swear your son is part monkey from the way he is eating his food out of his hair," she said as she turned her head back to Elijah and watched him with fascination instead of eating her lunch. Erica and Ella were also eating their lunch, though they did have some food in their hair, but they weren't picking at it or eating it. And Elle was too busy inspecting her lunch piece by piece before she ate it. Laura finally ate a couple more bites of her lunch and when her mouth was empty, she changed the subject as she went back to talk to Hoss again. "So, are you done for the day or are you going to go back to work for a couple more hours?" she asked him.

Re: Four Baskets, Four Babies and One Big Ponderosa Easter Egg Hunt (2026)

from Laura on 05/27/2026 06:58 AM

Laura looked into Hoss's eyes and smiled and then leaned over and softly kissed the top of Hoss's head. "Yes, because I know you would do anything for your babies and your nieces and nephews," she told him softly as a smile came over her face. Then she went on to reply to what Hoss said about Adam. "Don't worry, I think Lynda has something planned for him, though that would just leave Joe and Andrew," she told Hoss as Laura looked at Hoss as she continued to smile at him. "So, I don't think that hiding eggs in Adam's boots will be necessary," she said and then paused for a few minutes and then went on speaking. "Though if Joe or Andrew start to laugh or tease you," Laura said as she glanced down at the laptop and back over at Hoss. "They may find out that I can make life a living hell for them," she said with a smile on her face and then once again kissing the top of Hoss's head. Then she went on to reply to what he said about their little ones and how they were going to look at the party. Laura felt Hoss wrap one of his big arms around her waist and she couldn't help but snuggle closer to him. He always did have a way of making Laura feel safe and warm, even when he wasn't holding her like he was just then. "That's the plan, though I'm sure Daisy will look more adorable, since she's littler than our children, but still, our children will look great," she added as she looked over and saw the huge smile on his face, which made her smile. There was a pause for a few minutes as they looked lovingly into each other's eyes with a smile on each other's faces. It was then that Laura broke the silence. "You sure do love bragging about our little ones," she said with a chuckle. "I can see it in your eyes that you are one proud papa and that you are proud of them," she added as she then moved onto the touchy subject of Elle, which she knew always broke Hoss's heart because she was the only one that was the most fragile, even though physically, she was fine.

At the mention of the Santa incident, Laura gave Hoss's hand a little squeeze. She knew that even though he had no reason too, he still held onto some of the guilt, no matter how many times Laura kept telling him that he has nothing to feel guilty about. As Laura balanced the laptop on her lap, cuddled closer to Hoss while holding his free hand with hers, Laura listened to everything that Hoss had to say, which she could still hear the guilt in his voice. That is when she felt his head gently resting against her temple and that brought a smile to her face as she began to speak to him. "Honey, what happened over Christmas with the Santa thing, wasn't your fault," she reminded him. "You have nothing to feel guilty about. We just have to keep telling ourselves that it's just her autism," Laura said softly. "We will get her to understand one of these days that you wouldn't leave her. It's just going to take some time," she added and then went on speaking about easing Elle into Easter Bunny situation nice and slowly. "I think that would be a wonderful idea. I think if you keep talking to her and showing her that the costume isn't scary and let her touch it and let her make up her own mind in her own way as to how she feels about it," she said with a smile on her face. Laura paused for a few minutes so they could hear the babies sleeping softly. Finally, after a few minutes of listening to the babies breathing as they slept, Laura lifted her head and then gently used the hand that was holding the laptop on her lap to turn Hoss's head so that they were looking deep into each other's eyes. "I think what you are doing for your daughter is a great thing," she told him as they were looking deep into each other's eyes both with the seriousness and yet love in their eyes. "You are a wonderful father to your children and if anybody finds that funny, well, then they don't know what it means to have a love so deep, like the one you have for your children," she told him honestly. "And for the record, you won't look ridiculous to me or Erica, Elijah or Ella, or even to Elle," she told him. "Because we know that whatever needs to be done to make sure your family is happy, healthy and safe, you will do. And that's the best sign of a good husband and father anyone could ask for," she said as they need moved onto Elle's occupational therapy. "She is making good progress," Laura said. "She can say da da a lot better than she could and she is working very hard on trying to say mama," Laura said proudly. Then Laura leaned down and softly kissed Hoss's lips as she spoke more softly now. "And don't worry about Little Joe. He messes with you, I'll sic Elle on him," she said with a smile and then went on speaking. "By the way, the babies are starting to outgrow their cribs, so we might wanna think about working on their own rooms soon," she added.

Re: St. Paddy's Day Brings More than Green Clovers (2026)

from Laura on 05/26/2026 04:04 PM

Laura finished kissing all the babies goodbye and left instructions for Inger, who told her not to worry that she would take care of everyone, was heading back to her and Hoss's room. When she got there, she saw that Hoss and Elle were sleeping peacefully Laura smiled and then turned and walked swiftly down the stairs, grabbed her purse, cell phone and her car keys and headed out, gently closing the door behind her. Laura then went to her car, got in and soon was pulling out of her driveway and onto the highway that led to Virginia City. As Laura was slowly driving on a very muddy road, she was flipping through her radio stations when she just happened to look up and see someone following her. She didn't think much of it at first, at least not until the shots started coming and blew out the two back tires of her car. Laura started to swerve, trying to keep control of her car but was unable to and soon ended up in the ditch. It wasn't long after Laura got out to inspect the damage that she suddenly disappeared, leaving only vague clues as to what might have happened. Several hours later, Inger was playing with three of the four kids when her cell phone rang. While Erica, Elijah and Ella was playing, though she watched them very carefully for a fever flare up, which his why she didn't take them out of their cribs but rather put some toys for each of them in their cribs. But when her phone rang and saw it was Michael, Inger knew that something bad had happened, though she wasn't sure exactly what happened. Inger talked on the phone for a while, trying not to let the tears that were stinging her eyes, but it was too late as a few had already slipped out and were rolling down her cheek.

Finally, Inger got off the phone and once she made sure that the babies were content, she then slipped out of the nursery and went to Hoss and Laura's bedroom. She stood there for a few minutes, watching her son, who was also sick sleeping with his daughter right next to him. After swallowing the lump that was in her throat she walked in and went over to her bed. She really didn't want to wake him up only to tell him that his father in-law/stepfather was coming to see him on official business, but she didn't have much of a choice. She told Michael that she would get him ready, and she wouldn't tell him what it was about, so Inger slowly walked over to the bed and began to wake Hoss up, only after seeing Elle laying there with her eyes open and still cuddling next to Hoss. Inger cleared her throat and began to wake him up, though he would hear the cracking in her voice. "Eric, honey," Inger said as the cracking sound was already coming through. "It's mommy. I need you to wake up so that I can get you ready for a visitor," she told him. She had touched his head and noticed that the fever was gone, but he was still flushed, which meant he could start running another fever anytime. But again, she knew that Michael needed to talk to him, which meant that she would deal with another fever, if it should happen, later. "Come on, sweetie, mommy needs you to wake up," she said as she went to the other side and began to pick up Elle, which she did not like and began to fight her grandmother by holding onto Hoss's shirt until her little hands started to turn white. Inger sighed and let her go and soon Elle sat up. Elle laid her head on part of Hoss's chest and started crying, which then caused Hoss's eyes to open and him finally to wake up. Inger just stood there for a few minutes as she thought about how he did the same thing that Elle is doing right now, when he was younger and she couldn't help but smile. Then she cleared her throat and began to speak to Hoss. "I need you to sit up completely so that you can talk to Michael when he gets here," she said. "Which means, Elle is going to have to leave for a little while," she told Hoss. "I'm sure that she needs a diaper change anyway," she told her son as she looked at him and then to Elle and then back to him.

Re: A Family Valentine's Day Celebration End in Tragedy (2026)

from Laura on 05/26/2026 12:52 PM

Laura couldn't help holding her breath as she watched Hoss, who still had Elle in his arms, trying to stand. It was only then, when he was standing fully in front of her, without hurting Elle, did Laura begin to breathe a sigh of relief. Then she gave Hoss a stern look as she began to speak to him. "You got lucky," she told him. "And you can be sure that if you do that again with a baby in your arms, that you will be sleeping outside in the barn for a year," she told him seriously before she let herself soften up and smile. "But I do have to admit, you did a good job," she told him with a smile on her face, "And for the record," she told Hoss as Ella continued to laugh and clap happily, despite what Hoss said told. Laura chuckled and softly kissed Ella on the side of the head and then turned back to Hoss and began to speak to him. "And for the record, Elle is your daughter. She as been since the day she was born and you were up in the NICU with them," she told him as she watched Elle reach up and pat Hoss's cheek. "Aww, she gave you baby cheek," Laura said with a huge smile on her face. "Which just only proves my point," she added and then leaned up and softly kissed Hoss's lips just as Elle was lifting her head from Hoss's shirt. She couldn't help but stick her lower lip out as if she was pouting, which Laura then noticed. "And then some," she added as she pointed to Elle's pouty face. "I don't think she likes me kissing you," Laura said with worry in her voice as she went on speaking. "But that will have to wait until after lunch," she told Hoss. "We have to get downstairs, where I'm sure Erica and Elijah are probably having a yelling contest," she added as she turned and walked out the door, carrying Ella.

Meanwhile, Erica and Elijah were downstairs in their highchairs and using their plastic spoon as a drumstick and their tables as a drum. They were doing their version of We Will Rock You, which consisted of baby gibberish. And the more they pounded on their little tables and sang, the louder they got, which wasn't necessarily a good thing. Hoss, who was carrying Elle, was following Laura, who had Ella, out of the nursery as she continued to speak. Laura had worry in her voice. "Sweetie, I am not sure Elle being so attached to you is a good thing, though I also know that right now we can't do anything about it," she told him. "At least not until we learn how to deal with her autism better," she added as they began to walk down the stairs, which with all the banging and screaming, made it hard for Hoss to really hear Laura, at least until Laura was able to settle both Erica and Elijah down. Once Laura calmed them down and Hoss began to put Elle into her highchair, Laura continued to speak as she was working on getting Ella into hers. "Of course, until that happens, it looks like you will be going with Elle to her occupational therapy, which works out great because Ella has physical therapy that I can go to that since both go to their therapies on the same day, though different times," she added as they finally got Ella and Elle settled into their chairs. Laura turned to look up at Hoss with a smile on her face as she began to speak again. "Now, let us sit down to lunch so that I can change the little ones and put them down for a nap, though Elle is all yours," she said laughing as she turned and went to sit in her seat as she began to speak one last time. "Then I'll slip off to town while the children are napping and you can relax in your chair and watch something on tv until I get back," she said as she picked up one half of her sandwich and looked at him with a smile on her face. "Then when I get back and get everything put away, you can take Elle out to the barn for some daddy/daughter time while I take the others swimming," she added with a smile and then took a small bite of her sandwich as she waited for Hoss's response.

Re: Christmas Magic Brings Love, Hope and Miracles (2025)

from Laura on 05/26/2026 11:09 AM

Laura continued to sleep peacefully as Hoss continued to just look at her. And every time she would move, he made sure that his arm stayed right there with her, keeping her very close to him. Finally, after about thirty minutes or so of not only complete silence but also just looking at Laura, Hoss found his eyes getting heavy. It didn't take him long before he closed his eyes and fell fast asleep. Several hours later, with Hoss still asleep, Laura woke up, mostly due to one of the babies pushing on her bladder, causing her to have to pee, but also because she just woke up. She looked at Hoss sleeping peacefully for a few minutes, letting a smile come to her face. Then, gently as she could, without waking Hoss, she leaned up and softly kissed his cheek. Then, as the urge to pee grew stronger, she quickly and yet quietly slipped out of Hoss's arm and made her way to the bathroom. After getting done using the bathroom, Laura stopped by the front door and gently opened it to check the weather. She could see the clouds getting worse, which meant a new snowstorm was on the way. Laura turned to look back at Hoss, who was still sleeping peacefully, and then began to get her boots on so that she could go make sure that Chubbs had everything he needed before the new storm hit. After getting her boots on and putting on her warmest shawl, and then went outside, making sure to miss all the ice that had been forming on the porch. It took Laura about twenty minutes to make it out to the barn since she had to walk slowly and try to miss all the icy areas. And another ten minutes to make sure that Chubbs was good on everything. And after putting a warm blanket over him, Laura blew out the lantern and lefft the barn and slowly made her way back to the house. It wasn't until she reached the halfway point between the barn and the house that she forgot about an icy spot and ended up slipping and falling in the snow and twisting her right ankle.

She sat there for a few minutes, making sure the babies were good, which they were, before attempting to get up. She was in so much that the thought of screaming came to her mind, but she also knew that Hoss would race out here all worried and the one thing he couldn't do right now was run. So, Laura took a couple of deep breaths and forced herself to her feet, then very slowly, she began to walk on her good leg, while limping on her other, though trying not to put too much weight on it, since she didn't know if she had actually broke it or if she had just sprained it. Either way, she knew in the back of her head that once Hoss saw her limping, he would get extremely worried about her, but she would deal that when it happened. Right now, she just needed to get back inside, which was taking her longer now because of her ankle. Finally, after carefully walking through the snow and back up onto the porch, making sure to miss the icy spots, which she carefully did and finally made it back into the house, which she locked the door behind her. Laura then took off her shawl and hung it up, though there was still some snow on it, which she quickly brushed off. Then she sat down in the chair that was next to the door and took off her boots, starting with the good foot. But when she got to the other ankle and started to take off her boot, she felt pain and she couldn't help but yell out, even though she knew it would wake Hoss. "OWIE...OWIE...OWIE," Laura yelled louder than she had intended to, though she finally get the boot off and threw it down next to the other one. Laura just sat there for a little while longer, rubbing her ankle as if she was trying to rub the pain away, which wasn't working. Finally, after a few minutes, Laura put down her foot and like she did outside, began to put all of her weight on her good foot, while limping with the other. She had to go make sure that Hoss was still asleep, though deep down she knew he was probably awake and worried.

Re: A Beautiful Dream Wedding Turns into a Living Nightmare

from Laura on 05/26/2026 09:08 AM

"Sweetie, what you did was simply the fact that you were just yourself," she told him. "Plus you also are kind and sweet and love just about anyone and everything," she said smiling as she finished with his tie. She then put her hands on his arms for a few minutes to admire her work and then looked up at her son. The smile never left her face, though she knew there were some happy tears that were threatening to fall. "Eric, honey, you have a big heart," she told him as a few tears already slipping out slowly going down her cheek. "And I'm not talking about the physical size either," she told him and then went on. "You care and help people without thinking the consequences to yourself and you never ask for anything in return," she added. "So, yes, my sweet boy, you deserve any happiness you get, whether it be finding out you have more siblings with children or an event like your wedding day," she told him and then went silent, though she did let out a content sigh as she felt his arms wrap around her in a huge and gentle hugs he always gave her. And after a few minutes, Inger pulled away and looked up at her son, which he gently laid his forehead on hers. "Too late," she said as the tears still continually and slowly fall from her eyes. "I already know my eyes are wet but so are yours," she said laughing. "Which isn't a bad thing since you are about to have something extraordinary happen to you today," she told him and then paused for a moment, just long enough to hear him say that even though he wasn't her little boy anymore, he would always be her baby. That was when she replied with her own type of wisdom. "Eric Cartwright, you will always be both my little boy and my baby," she told him as she gently touched his face softly. "And that will never change. And it doesn't matter what changes in your life, whether it's an event like today, or something else," she told him. "And when your little ones grow up and you're standing here talking to your son or even one of your daughters, you'll say the same thing," she added just as Andrew walked in. And that was when Inger knew it was time.

Inger took one final deep breath and then took Hoss's arm. She looked up at him with a huge smile on her face as she began to speak again. "You wouldn't run from this even if you had the choice. You love Laura and those babies too much," she told him and without saying another word, she nodded. Soon Hoss was walking out of the dressing room with his mother on his arm, both smiling, even though their faces were wet. And it was then that they both saw Taylor, but she was talking with Ryan, who looked extremely upset and ready to hit something or someone and Clay, who looked totally in shock about something, while trying to calm down Ryan, though it wasn't working too well. "Oh this can't be good," Inger said mostly to herself, but also saying it loud enough for Hoss tohear. Both Adam and Little Joe were close by just in case, though from the way that Ryan was clenching his fists, it was going to take more than two people to keep Ryan from doing something incredibly stupid. As everyone just stood there, hoping nothing would happen, especially with Erica, Elijah, Ella and Elle, standing there watching. It wasn't five minutes later that Ryan finally turned and began to punch on Clay, who then started punching back, causing them to fight each other while Taylor started shouting for them to both stop. "Oh, good god! They are going to kill each other, and the babies are all going to get hurt!" Inger told Hoss as she looked up at him. "You have got to get the babies!" She added as Ryan and Clay were being pulled apart by Adam, Andrew and Joe, though they weren't having any luck. In fact, before Hoss could get to his children and after pushing Andrew, Adam and Joe off of not only him but off of Clay too, Ryan grabbed Clay and threw him, aiming for the wall, but Clay ended up accidently smacking Erica, causing her to start to cry, tripping over Ella, causing her to scream, and falling on both Elijah and Elle, causing them both to hit their heads, making them both cry as they both held their heads, until Elijah's eyes began to roll in the back of his eyes and began to seize.

Re: A Broken Heart and An Angel's Love

from Laura on 05/26/2026 07:46 AM

Laura listened to Hoss as she gently wiped away his tears. And as she softly held his hand, she couldn't help but lean down and softly kissed her forehead. When she saw him trying to smile, even faintly, she began to smile back. She then gently ran her fingers from her free hand through his hair gently, as she felt the blush coming to her face as he continued to speak to her. But when his breathing started to hitch a little and he took a few minutes to pause and catch his breath. She watched him close his eyes for a few minutes and when did open them again, Laura could see the fear and wonder in them. That also gave her a chance to speak to him. "Well, I ain't your wife just yet, we are still waiting for your father and Lynda to get here so that they can be our witnesses," she told him as she still had the blush to her face. "Honey, you have always thought that," she told him chuckling. "Heck, you even told me that back when I got sick with a cold and had snot running out of my nose," she said still chuckling and then went on speaking. "You were sitting on my bed, holding your teddy and I sneezed," she told him as she went on. "And a string of snot came out of my nose and as you were handing me a Kleenex, you said, Lulu, you sure are pretty," she told him with a smile on her face as she stopped speaking one she saw that Hoss was ready to continue with his thoughts. She could see by the look on his face that he what he had to say was both serious and yet like he was describing a dream or a neard-death experience or something to that affect.

It was then that he said that heard her singing to him that only made her smile grow bigger, at least until he said babies, which then made her look at him with a puzzled look. She knew that Joey was predicting more than one baby, but now Hoss was. She knew right then that she definitely needed an ultrasound now. She nodded her head as she moved closer to him and once, she was close enough, she helped him put his hand on her stomach. Once his hand was gently on her stomach, she left hers on top of his as she began to speak to him. "Better?" she asked him as she went on talking about the rest of what he told her. "Okay, first off, you were just sleeping, which would explain the darkness and secondly, the far way feeling meant you were probably dreaming of something that made you think you were far away," she added as she gave the hand she was holding a gentle squeeze as she paused for a few minutes while she gathered her thoughts. Finally, she began to speak to him again. "Eric, honey, what makes you think I'm carrying more than one baby?" she asked him. "I haven't had an ultrasound yet, though you are the second one to think I'm having more than one baby," she told him very puzzled and surprised at the same time. She was starting to wonder if there was something that everybody knew that she wasn't aware of. But there was one thing she knew that she had to do and do it soon and that was getting an ultrasound.

Four Children, Once Storm, a Desert Island Yet Still a Family

from Laura on 05/13/2026 05:21 AM

Everybody was looking forward to some much-needed time away from the ranch considering everything that had gone on in the last year or so. So, after getting the cruise ticket via email, Laura went on a packing spree even though the trip was still a few weeks off, she knew that she would have a lot to pack, especially with all the medical machinery that they would have to be taking, which she already had most of it sitting by the door anyway. As the kids were sleeping later on that night, Laura and Hoss were in their bedroom pack and getting ready for the cruise. Laura had both their suitcases open and some clothes in each as she was going through their closet to see what else she wanted to pack She stuck her head out of the closet and looked over at Hoss. "Do you want me to pack you some nice clothes for the times get to sneak off for a date night?" she asked him. "Because the email said that Lynda had hired us a nanny to help take care of our babies and give us some time to ourselves," she told Hoss as she came out with some dresses Hoss has never seen Laura wear yet. She could tell by the look on his face that he was wondering why she had never put on any of those dresses and she couldn't help but chuckle as she explained. "For the record, you have never seen me in those dresses that I just packed because they are my skintight, sexy dresses and they wouldn't have fit me while I was housing your four little ones," she said with a seductive smile on his face.

"But now that there is a vacancy in Hotel Cartwright," she said as she walked over to him and stood between his legs and put her arms around him. Laura had a seductive smile on her face, and her eyes began to sparkle as she went on with her thoughts. "And if those dresses do what they are meant to do," she told him as she gently began to play with his neck hair. "Then those nights after the babies go to bed are going to be hotter than any sauna in the world," she told him with a smirk. "Besides, from the information that Lynda sent me about our room, we have a hot tub in our room and I know you and I can make it even hotter than the setting," she smirked as she leaned in and passionately kissed him. Laura couldn't help but let out a few soft moans as she closed her eyes while they were kissing. Once the kiss was finally broken, she couldn't help but let her lips linger on his for a few minutes. "Mmm, it's been a while since we did that," she said softly, still wearing that seductive smile on her face before she went on speaking to him. "Anyway, so you might want to load your guns," she told him has she let her hands slip down to his arms giving his muscles a little squeeze. "Just in case I might need you to save me," she said as she then went from standing between his legs to climbing up on his lap, straddling him gently, moving her hands once again only this time from his arms to his chest, playing with the buttons on his shirt as she felt him gently and yet firmly wrap his arms around her. She managed to get a couple of buttons open as she looked down at his chest and then back up at him. "You know, it's been a while," she whispered to him with a huge smile on her face while she played with a few of Hoss's chest hairs. "And I could use a break from packing," she added with a smile on her face.

Four Little Cartwrights in Cowboy Boots with Roses for Mama for Mother's Day (2026)

from Laura on 05/13/2026 12:53 AM

It was a week before Mother's Day and Laura knew that most of the mothers in Virgina City already had plans, including Lynda and Jennie. But as for Laura, she didn't think know if Hoss and the kids were planning something for her or not, but she knew she had her usual grocery shopping, taking Ella and Elle to their therapy appointments, among other things she had to do for her family. So, while Hoss was out with his brothers making sure the fences were getting done right, Laura took the kids and went to town. Laura still worried about Hoss being out working with the risk of his body rejecting his new heart. But he really wanted to go help and she just couldn't say no to him, as long as made sure not to overdo it, which he did. So, while he was working, she was in town getting what she needed to do done, when she realized she still had to get something for her mother as well as Inger and Lynda, though she had a feeling that Hoss might want to be in on picking something out for both Lynda and Inger, so what she did was get them each a card and would come back to town with Hoss later to get each other a little something for Mother's Day. Anyway, Laura finished up in town and was soon on her way home with four hungry babies and a trunk full of groceries. Finally, after about an hour drive, Laura got home, got all the groceries in and then finally got the babies inside. She had put each baby into their highchair and gave them each a sippy cup of apple juice, which kept them busy for a little bit so that Laura could put away the groceries and start lunch. She knew that Hoss would be coming home for lunch, because she asked him too, and she wanted to have everything done before he got home.

Laura had just gotten lunch done and was sitting it on the table when she heard Hoss's truck pull up. She couldn't help but smile as she had just got his plate sat on the table. Erica, Elijah, Ella and especially Elle were very excited to hear that daddy was home. Once she had everything ready, she went and met Hoss at the door with a smile and a kiss ready, which he took both once he walked into the house. "Lunch is already on the table, my love," she told him after breaking their romantic kiss. "Also, I thought we could go to town later to pick out gifts for your mom and Lynda," she told him as they walked over to the table, where the kids were already eating, except for Elle, who was waiting for her daddy to sit down next to her. Once Hoss came around the corner to the table, all four babies, Elle included, squealed happily as they saw their father going to his usual chair to sit down. They were squealing and talking in their language to their father happily with Erica, Elijah and Ella all had food all over their faces as Laura disappeared into the kitchen for a few minutes to get Hoss something cold to drink. She came back and sat it down in front of his plate. Part of her was hoping to get a hint of what he might be planning for her for Mother's Day, though most of it was just because she loved making her husband happy. After getting him something to drink, Laura went and sat down in her chair and watched her family eating and having a good time. She couldn't help but let out a sigh with pleasure. "So, how's fencing going?" she finally asked Hoss. "You're not overdoing it, are you? I mean you are letting your brothers do most of the work?" she asked again as she was getting a fork full of food ready to put into her mouth.
