"Michael wanted me to tell you not to worry about it. He's a father too, so he understands," Inger told Ben. "Besides, he knows if it was Laura that needed our support, you would be there for her," she told Ben. Then she went onto change the subject to the time of they are leaving and when Ben and everybody  could expect her and Michael to arrive.

Our flight leaves at midnight, so Michael and I should be there sometime tomorrow afternoon," she told Ben. "I know he's scarerd and I know you are scared too," she told Ben.  "But this isn't anything we haven't been through befoe, well....maybe a little more serious than before," she said. "But I know one thing that's gonna keep our little baby alive and that's the fact that Laura's back in his life," she added.  "Has Lynda said anything about if he's getting worse or is she still running tests?" Inger asked with a smile.

Lynda says:
Lynda sat there in the driver's seat listening to everything that Ben was telling her. She knew he was speaking from the heart and that made her feel good inside, but she also knew that Ben wasn't understanding why she was so upset. It wasn't what he said, though that certainly didn't help her none, but rather the fact that she had reached out for help and rather than taking her in his arms and just being there, he turned things utterly around. It was as if his mind had been completely twisted in some way.

When Ben was done speaking, she sat there for a little bit longer. Then she turned her head and even though her angelic smile was gone, she still wanted him to come with her. She knew it wouldn't be fair to  Hoss if she didn't bring Ben to see him. What they were going through wasn't his fault and he shouldn't be punished for it. Finally, Lynda reached over and opened the passanger's door. Then she began to speak to him.

"We will talk about everything later," she said. "But I do have a few things that I want you to know," she said. "First off, Hoss is going to be fine, I believe it and so should you," she told him. "The second thing that you need to know is when I do go into isolation, you will still be able to visit me, which I hope you do, but they will be monitored and certain percausions will have to be taken," she aded. "And yes I will be still working on Hoss's case," she told him so it would ease mind.

"So, that's one less thing you'll have to worry about," she told him. "Now get back into the truck so that we can get to the hospital," she told him, knowing there was still a couple of things that she needed to tell him but  also knowing that it could wait. All of a sudden her hospital pager goes off and her face goes whiter than it ever had before. "Oh god," she said to herself and then looks up at Ben. "My asistant just text me and Adam's on his way to the hospital now," she added.

"Honey, Joe and Jennie are our children," she reminded him. "Lynda has no say in what we buy them," she added. "It's your money, not hers," she told him trying to keep her anger in check. But then her tone softened as she continued speaking over the phone. "Ben, I understand how you might think that, but really it isn't," she told him.

"In fact, if you get them cars, not only will it give them a distraction, since the Ponderosa is so big," she told him. "But it will show that them that they haven't been replaced in your heart," she told him. "You and I both know that's part of their problem," she added. "They feel like you have forgotten them, even though we both know you haven't," she told him. "So, please say yes and let them have the cars they've always wanted,"  she told him softly.

"Michael's already changing our flights as I'm speaking to you," she told Ben. "And as soon as I get off the phone with you, I'll call Hoss, just to check up on him and get our things pack," she told Ben as she heard a huge sigh of relief. She knew there was more going on than just Hoss being in the hospital. But she didn't press Ben at the moment. She knew that it wasn't the time nor the place.

"Anyway, we should be home within the next 24 hours or so, depending on how soon Michael can get us a flight home," she told Ben. "But in the meantime, promise me sweetie that you will keep calm and stay strong for our son," she told Ben. "And remember to keep your temper and be mindful of what you say," she added. "I know how you can get when you are under a lot of stress," she added.

Lynda says:
Lynda didn't say anything as she listened to everything Ben was tellling her. There wasn't much she could say at the moment. She just let the tears fall as she continued to listen to Ben continue to, what she knew, was his long way of apologizing. Then she felt him softly touching her cheek as he was wiping away her tears and she closed her eyes and let herself get lost in for a moment.

Lynda let out a sigh and still hadn't said anything. She finally opened her eyes as she listened to Ben getting out of the truck. Once he was out and the door was shut. And once Lynda knew Ben was at a safe distance from the truck, she slowly took off, leaving not only Ben behind but her heart as well. Finally, Lynda went down the road, about a mile or so, and then pulled the truck off the side of the road once more.

As Lynda waited for Ben to catchup, she texted her assistant to have a couple of tests ran on Hoss. Once all that was done, she put her phone down next to her and laid her head down on the steering wheel and just cried until she ran out of tears and couldn't cry anymore. Once she was done crying, she sat back, resting her head against the head rest of the seat as she waited for Ben, whom she was really missing despite of the rough patch they were going through at the moment.
