"You have to do something about that bitch Lynda Cartwright," Marie told him. "I don't know what the hell she is thinking but I will have her arrested for child endangerment, child neglect and child abuse," she told him as her anger was coming out, though she was doing heavy breathing to try to calm herself down. Finally, when she was able to talk to Ben a little more rashionally, she continued her thoughts. 

"I really wish you would just divorce her. She's no good for you Ben," she said. "She's making our babies miserable and now she took it upon herself to just kick them out of the house," she told him. "What's next? You and I aren't allowed to stay in the same house?" she asked him as she continued without waiting waiting for him to answer her.

"And if you nor Lynda don't think I have proof of what she's doing, then you are both sadly wrong. Jennie has been emailing me everything that has been going on, along with pictures. So, what are you going to do about it? Or do I have to go to the cops?" she asked him as she was finally out of breathe. 

She knew Ben well enough to know that Ben wasn't telling her the whole truth, but she would worry about that later. Right now, she was more concerned about Hoss than anything else. As she listened to everything Ben had to tell her, she could hear him pacing back and forth, just like he used to do when they Hoss was little and in the hoptial. Inger let out a sigh and once Ben was done talking, Inger began to soothingly began to speak to him. 

"First of all, calm down and quit pacing," she told him. "You're  making me nervous and I'm out of the country," she told him as she was trying digest everything that Ben had told her about Hoss. It wasn't until he mentioned a girl name Laura that Inger started to put the pieces together. "Honey, if the Laura you are talking about is who I think it is, then he's with his Lulu," she told him. "And if that's the case, then I think I know what happened, and it would explain why Eric has been pushing himself so hard these last few weeks," she told him.

"He knew Lulu was on her way to see him and he wanted everything to be perfect, including him,," she told Ben. "Between that and well...what those two probably did behind closed doors," she told him."It's not surprising that he's having heart problems. And if I know Lulu, Eric is in good hands with her," she told him. "I'll talk to Michael and see if we can't get home sooner, but I can't promise you anything," she told him.

"And thanks for the compliment, my love, but you and I both know that Lynda is much better at calming you down than any of us ever could," she said with a chuckle. "Now you go be with our son and let Lynda take care of you until I can get home," she told him.  "And try to be extra nice to Lulu...I mean, Laura. Not only is she my stepdaughter, but I'm hoping and praying that maybe someday, she will be our daughter in-law," she said with a smile. 

As Marie was ranting and raving all over hers and Gibbs's hotel room, she couldn't help but wonder if Ben knew about Lynda's evil plans. Marie just knew that Lynda was hurting her babies and she wouldn't stand for any of this. She knew this was not the way to help anyone. So, after getting her cell phone out, went to her contacts and found Ben's name. Then she hit the green call button and waited for Ben to answer. 

She hopped that this time Ben would wake up and open his eyes and see Lynda for exactly who she was, which was a gold-digging bitch who is only out for one thing and that was his money. As his phone continued to ring, she couldn't help but practice what she was going to say to Ben. Marie knew one way or another, she was going to have her family back together and Lynda was not going to be apart of it. 

Inger couldn't help but laugh as she listened to Ben ask just about every question in the world without stopping to take a breathe. But there was something else in his voice too. Something deep inside of her was telling her that something was wrong. She wasn't sure if there was something wrong with Ben and Lynda or if something happened to Hoss. So, before she got into the seriousness of things, she went onto answer Ben's questions.

"Woah, slow down baby," Inger said still laughing. "Now you know I can't forget about my sweet, but very stubborn Ben Cartwright," she told him as she took a drink of her fuzzy navel drink. "Don't worry, Michael and I will be home Sunday," she told him, knowing that would make him happy. And would make her happy to get back too, so she could see not only Ben but Hoss and the grandbabies as well. 

"I miss you too baby and like I said, we will be home Sunday and I promise, after we get settled, I'll be over to spend some time with you, Hoss and the rest of the family," she told him. "And speaking of Hoss, how is my little big baby?" she asked him. "Is he doing everything Lynda wants him to do?" she asked him as she giggled again. "And I don't think you wanna hear all the dirty details of mine and Michael's sex life, but I will say this, I do have a plan to get you away from the Ponderosa and get you down here for a month or so," she smirked and then got serious. 

"But seriously Ben, are you doing okay?" she asked him, now worried about him. "I know you have been studying really hard for your final exam and with graduation around the corner and your residency fast approaching, are you taking care of yourself?" she asked him, knowing how hard medical school can get and with Ben's age, it tends to be hell. 

"Calm down," she told him softly. "I'm calling my assistant now and seeing what's going on," she said as she went under her contacts and found her assistant's name and hit the green call button. It only took a few minutes before her assistant, Marla to answer to her phone. After about 15 minutes of talking to Marla, Lynda finally got off the phone and turned to look at with calm but worried eyes. 

"Okay...here's what Marla told me," she said. "Hoss is there for a check up on his heart. It seems that he spent the night with a girl, I think she said the girl's name was Laura, anyway, according to Laura, her and Hoss made love like three times last night and Hoss woke up this morning with trouble breathing and his heart causing him some trouble, so she just wanted to get him checked out," Lynda told Ben as she too began to get dressed. 

"She also said that Laura said that earlier that afternoon, Hoss had a small seizure while trying to get some of Laura's things back from a couple of drunk cowboys," she said softly as she let out a sigh. "So I'm gonna have to do a CT Scan as well as and EKG test to make sure that Hoss doesn't have any brain leasions and to check and make sure his heart is still strong enough to beat on its own," she told him as she put her shirt over her head and then worked to get her pants on. 

"It maybe getting time to start thinking about putting Hoss on the LVad, though that would rerquire him to stay in the hospital until I can get him a new heart," she said as she finished getting dressed and gathering her things in her purse. "Which means, I'll be working late for a while," she added. "I'll meet you downstairs," she told him as she grabbed her purse and went to the door and as she started to open it, Lynda stopped. "Ben, I think you should know, I've kicked Joe and Jennie and Jamie out of the house. They will be staying in the barn with only the clothes on their backs and a sleeping bag and pillow," she told him and then walked out the door and went downstairs to the living room to wait for Ben.
