Lynda
says:
Lynda had been working late at the hospital and putting in lots of hours, which put her leaving the hospital late at night and alone. And this night was no different than the others, except there was a cool breeze blowing, which this breeze felt different than the normal cool breeze. Anyway, Lynda had just finished up her paperwork, and had just shut down her laptop, which she had already packed and had ready to go. Then Lynda got the rest of her things together and when she was done, locked up her office door and was soon on the elevator down to the lobby. And once she was in the lobby, she walked out of the front door, which is when she was hit with the unusual cool breeze. Something made Lynda stay close to the front doors of the hospital for a few minutes. She knew something or someone was there, though she couldn't see them at the moment, she knew someone was there, watching her and waiting to make their move, and that was what made Lynda even more afraid. Finally, after about 10 minutes of standing by the hospital front door and nothing happening, Lynda decided to go ahead and head to her car, despite the clasps of thunder that was far off in the distance. Lynda walked as quickly as she possibly could, making sure not to stop for anything or anyone. She could hear the thunder coming closer, even though there were no clouds in the sky.
That's when she knew something or rather someone supernatural was coming and she was alone. So, once she got to her truck, she quickly unlocked her passenger side door, despite the fact that she kept looking all around her to make sure that whatever was there hadn't presented itself until she was at least loaded with something to protect herself. Lynda finally opened the door and after throwing her things into the seat, Lynda pulled the shot gun she had hidden behind the seat. She quickly checked to make sure the gun was still loaded, which it was, she not only closed up the gun but the door as well. And that's when she saw his face in the window and she nearly dropped the gun. Lynda cleared her throat and closed her eyes for a few minutes, and when she opened them, he was gone, at least for the moment. Lynda stood there with her head pressed against the window for a few minutes as she tried to get herself under control, despite the mysterious thunder, which was now overhead where she stood, again despite the fact that there was still no clouds. Finally, Lynda slowly turned around and as she did, a very familiar face stood right there in front of her. All color drained from Lynda's face as she tried to get out a scream, but nothing would come out, at least as far as a scream was concerned. She did mention to get out a question though. "What are you doing here?" she asked him as her grip on her shotgun tightened, though she still managed to avoid the trigger. |
