Andrew sat there in his truck, looking at his boys hugging at first what he thought was a stranger. But it wasn't until he took a better look and realized that it was none other than Randi Canaday. Andrew didn't know exactly how to react at first, but he could see that the boys were happy and that made him smile, though that wasn't the only thing that put a smile on his face. Andrew knew he needed to get out of his truck and go over there and see what was going on and why Randi was back in town, but he found himself continuing to sit there and just stare at her. He had forgotten just how beautiful she really was. Finally, Andrew cleared his throat and finally got out of his truck, though he really wasn't ready to go over to them just yet, Andrew continued to stand by his truck and just watch his sons laughing and joking with their mother and something inside of Andrew broke, though not in a bad way but in a more loving and caring way. Finally, after taking a few deep breaths, Andrew gathered what little courage he had and was soon on his way over to where Randi and the boys were standing and began to clear his throat. Finally, he began to speak to his sons first. "Okay boys," Andrew told Josh and Jake as he walked up to them. "It's time to get going, we still have to go get your sister from her school," Andrew told them, though he knew they would start to put up a fight if he didn't come up with something to make everyone happy. "And before you two start whining and complaining, I want to talk to your mama alone," he told them. The boys sighed and nodded and then after giving their mom a quick and tight hug, they went off and got into Andrew's truck. Once Andrew was sure the boys were in his truck, he turned and looked at Randi.
"It's been a long time Randi," Andrew finally said as he turned back around to look at the love of his life. "You still look as beautiful as you ever did," Andrew said as he was thinking about walking up to her and giving her a gentle kiss at least on the check, though something inside of him wanted to kiss those beautiful lips. Andrew quickly shook off those thoughts, though he did keep a plan in the back of his head to maybe ask her out sometime, depending on how long she's staying in town. But he decided to put that on the back burner for now. Andrew then went on to clear his throat, turned to check on the boys, which they were waiting patiently, though with a sad and disappointing look on their faces. "Anyway, I know we haven't seen each other for a while, except for the occasional video call, but I was wondering, if you were doing anything right now," Andrew started to say and hoped deep down that she would agree to it so that she could not only spend time with the boys, but maybe they could rekindle something they had once a long time ago that resulted into them having beautiful twin boys. Andrew once again snapped back into reality as he went onto finishing his thoughts. "Anyway, if you aren't busy right now, why don't you come with us to pick up Peggy and then I will treat everyone to dinner at the restaurant I usually take the kids to at least once a week," he added as a warm smile came across his face. "It will give you some more time to spend with the boys and you can meet Peggy," he told Randi happily. "And then why the kids are playing in the arcade for a while after dinner, then maybe you and I can catch up on everything that's been going on in our lives," he added, knowing that he was taking all of them to Dave and Busters. "So, what do you?" Andrew asked with a huge smile. |
