Lynda stood there for a few moments trying to process everything, when something clicked in her brain and she couldn't help but smile as she began to speak. "OMG....Clay! It's been a long time long time," she said finally moving so that he could come in. "Come in, make yourself at home. Can I get you something to drink?" she asked him.
"Marie does live here but she's not here right now," she told him honestly. "But you are more than welcome to stay anyhow," she told Clay. "How have you been? What have you been up?" she asked him.

Lynda was quietly reading since everybody was out of the house. She had just put her book down and was just about to get up and go fix her something to drink when she heard the knock on the door. Lynda walked over and began to unlock the door.
Once she got it unlocked, she opened the door but not before putting on her best smile she could muster. Then she opened the door, smiling at the visiter. "Yes? How may I help you?" she asked Clay, not knowing who he was. "Are you here to talk to Ben about a contract?" she asked him. |
