"You always say that and then it ends up being ten times worse," seh said a she rushed over to his side. She put the arm that was leaning against the kitchen frame around her as she helped him to a chair at the kitchen table. "So, I'll be the judge of how bad it is," she added onoce she got him seated. Then she began to take off his muddy and blood stained boots and socks. "I swear John, you come back filther than you do when you leave," she added as she took his things and put them on the back porch.
Then she came back and pour her tea into a coffee mug. She then took it over to him and sat it down in front of him. The expression on her face softened as she began to speak again. "But I'm glad you made it home in one piece," she told him as she reached over and took his jacket off followed by his shirt. Lynda let out a sigh a she looked at the wound. She didn't say anything at first, just took the jacket and shirt to the laundry room and placed them on the counter where she ususally folded her laundry. Then she came back and looked at him with both concern and love in her eyes. "So, what nearly killed you this time?" she asked him as she got a little closer to the wound.

Lynda was at home with John, doing his laundry as she waited for him to come home. She knew he was on another hunt and probably would need some mending, which she was definately good at doing with all her husbands. And it was a good thing Ben was out of town on business for a while, because something in the back of her mind was telling her that something wasn't right, like John was hurt worse than he's ever been. And it didn't matter what she tried, she just couldn't shake the feeling.
As she was putting in a load of clothes, spraying SHOUT on the clothes that had deamon blood on them, she couldn't help but let out a worried sigh. Finally, after getting all the clothes into the washing machine, along with the soap and detergent, and soon closed the lid and turned it on. Then, while the machine was starting to fill up with water, she went into the kitchen and began to make herself a cup of hot tea. |
