Laura
says:
"I am happy," Laura told her sister. "And Eric is a good man and I know him and I willl be very happy together," she said as she blush at what she heard her sister say what she did about everybody seeing something special in Laura, which she never thought there was, but she didn't argue. Laura just cleared her throat and wen ton with her thoughts. "Anyway, I hope someday you find a true love like mine and Eric's," she said happily.
"I know he/she is going to come into this world with a lot of love waiting for him/her," she told her sister happily. "And I am counting on you to help baby-sit when you and mama get down here," she added happily. "And don't worry, I'll make sure Ryan doesn't complain nor does Papa do anything to the neighbors," Laura said laughing as she got serious once again. "I'll call probably within a couple of hours," she said. "That will give the doctors time to get the results of everything," she told Sarah. "But in the mean time, if you have any questions about anything or need to vent again, don't hesitate to call," she told Sarah. "And don't forget to call Lisa so that you can get some rest," she added. "And in between there, try to have some fun," she added.
Riley_Schaffer
says:
Riley Schaffer had just finished her tour in Banger, Main, and boy was she ready to get back to Malibu for a nice long rest. But she also knew that before she could do that, she supposed she better stop and visit her family, so that they would know she was okay. Her first stop was to see her mom and Sarah, her baby sister.
Two weeks on the road to get to back to her chidhood home in New York City, was god's plenty, even though she had much much further to see Ryan and Laura and their dad. Anyway, after parking her tour bus for a few days, and took a limo to her mom's house, which she knew Sarah would be. Once she got to the house, Riley didn't even bother to knock, she just walked right in. "Sarah!! Momma!! It's me Riley!! I'm home!" Riley yelled as she walked through the door. After she closed the door behind her, she couldn't help but continue to yell. "HEY...WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?"
Laura
says:
"He keeps telling me that I'm his heart as as long as I'm by his side, he can live forever," she told her baby sister, almost sounding as if she was in a dream. Laura didn't say anything for a little while then went on continuing to speak, this time sounding more like herself than before. "Buy anyway, Eric is a really sweet guy and I just know you two are going to get along perfectly," she added as she got back to her serious voice.
"And you are right," Laura told her sister. "I should and am preparing myself for a quiet a long stay," she said with a chuckle. "But when Hoss gets a new heart, I just know that it will all be worth it. He'll be able to become the cowboy I already know he is, though I know he doesn't think so," she added as she moved onto her big news that she had already shared with her sister. "That, my dear sister, is exactly what I'm saying," she said with a laugh that contained some excitement to her voice. Then she continued on with the baby talk. "Like I said, I still have to find out, which I can do while he's getting his tests run," she told her sister. "I know for sure that one of the tests is a CT scan, so I'll go get checked out then," she told her sister. "This way I can find out first and surprise him or I could wait and him and I could find together, which might be better, though I haven't decided yet," she added with a chuckle. Then Laura's voice softened as she listened to how strong she thought Laura was. Laura couldn't help but smile as she then repllied back to her sister. "And I will always be there for my family, wheather it be you or Eric, or anyone else," she told her sister as she moved the conversation onto her and their mother moving to Virginia City. "I know I don't have to move you two out here but I have been thinking it over," she told her sister. "And I think it would be best for you two if you were out here," she told Sarah. "You'll get the best education out here and mom will have the best medical care that money can buy," she finished up. When Laura hears Sarah say that she wouldn't put up a fight if she did have Ryan swing by and pick them up, Laura smile grew, even though Sarah couldn't see it. "Good....I'll get a hold of Ryan and Papa in the next few days and make all the arrangements. It will take a while, so don't go rushing into packing or anything," she told her sister just as the doctor was walking in. "Thank sis and I'm proud of you two for being as strong as you are," she told Sarah. "And I promise to call you right after we get done with everything," she told her sister. "It shouldn't be more than hour and half maybe two hours at most before I can call back," she added. "But I promise you I will get back as soon as I can," Laura told Sarah as she was getting ready to get off the phone. "I love you Sarah and tell mama I love her and will be seeing her soon," Laura informed Sarah.
Laura
says:
"He does have a huge smile on his face. He keeps asking me all sorts of questions about New York," she told Sarah. "And he's very exccited to meet you and the rest of the family, as well as all my friends," she added happily. Then Laura's tone changed as she went on speaking about Hoss. "But something deep inside me is telling me that the doctor won't let him go and that he'll have to be admited into the hospital," she told her sister.
"That's why what I'm about to tell you cannot go any further than you and me, though I did drop a few hints for Monica," she said with a giggle and then cleared her throat as she began to tell her sister the good news. "Anyway, what I wanna tell you is that I'm almost positive I'm pregnant," she said smiling, even though Sarah couldn't see it. "And I have an idea of how I want to tell Hoss, just in case the doctor rips Hoss's hopes all to pieces," Laura said as she continued to be serious. "I know finding out that he's gonna be a daddy will keep him is one of the few things that will keep him fighting," she told her sister as she moved onto another subejct, like her and their mother. "And as for me being a good woman," she told Sarah. "I know you don't remember the hell I went through, but I did learn a little something while I was going through that," she told her sister. "And what I learned was this, I learned that family is the strongest thing a person can have, and when can't make it, then it's the responisbility of the other family members to be there," she added. "That's why I want you to get you some rest after you call Lisa," she told her sister. "Besides, I'm very strongly considering calling Ryan and having him go and get you and mom and bring you two down here to Virigina City so that I can take mom off your hands and still be here with Hoss," she told her. "And you can move in with Dad and his new wife, Inger and continue your education," she added.
Laura
says:
"You're very welcome sis," she told Sarah with a smile on her face. "And I guess I just have a way with making people feel better, even at their worst," she added with a chuckle. Then she got real serious again. "Well, I am older than you, so you know I've been in your shoes for a long time, so I do have a little experience wit life," she added with a chuckle.
Then Laura continued her thoughts on their momma as she continued to speak to her sister. "Yea I know what you mean," she told Sarah. "But we aren't professionals, so we can only do what we can for her," she reminded Sarah. "But like I said, we can't do anything if we aren't in good health ourselves, so I'm glad you will be calling her," she told her sister as she switched over and started talking about their brother. "Good. I know the even though he's really mad at momma and pop for reasons he won't tell us," she started. "It doesn't change the fact that deep down, he's still a momma's boy," she said chuckling. "And I know without any kind of doubt that he will always be there for his family," she told Sarah. "He may show up all busted, but he definately will be there," she said laughing Then Laura softened as moved on to Hoss and how he was excited he was to go to New York. "He's pretty excited too. He's never been too far from the Ponderosa," she told him. "But anyway, I'm doing everything I can to keep us both healthy," she said. "That's why I insisted on him getting check out first," she as her tone softened even more as they were getting ready to hang up from each other. "By the way, I have some news to tell you before I get off here," Laura said. |
