Laura could see the worry and fear rising in his eyes and she held Hoss as tight as he was to her. Part of it was because she was steadying him until she could get him back to the bed. But mostly she held him so he wouldn't be so worried and scared of somthing happening to her. She reached up and softly touched his face as she began to speak to him softly. 

"Sweetie, he texted me while we were in the bathtub," she told him. "This was the first time of me seeing it," she said. Then she smiled and softly kissed the palm of his hand as she continued. "I know he's not, because I have someone in my arms right now that won't let that happen," she told him as she kissed his palm again. Then she  rubbed her thumb gently against his cheek as she went on with her thoughts. 

"And don't tell me not to worry about you," she said stern and yet playfully. "Because you know I'm always going to worry about you. And I promise I will stay as close as I can to you," she added with a smile as their foreheads touched. "I'll never leave your side, my love," she whispered to him. "Now let's finish getting ready becasue I don't like the way you are breathing," she added.

"And I love you more than I love my own life," she added. "And I promise you now, our love will last forever and nobody will ever come between us," she told him as she stayed very close to him. "Now come on, my love....we still have to get dressed before we go to the hospital," she told him. 

"Yes baby...it's mama," she told him softly. She could not only hear the fear in his voice but she could also tell that he was having trouble with his heart again. "Eric, honey, I want you to do something for mama," she told Hoss. "I want you to take a nicec slow breath in through your nose and let it out nice and slow," she told him. "Just like we practiced the last time this happened, remember?" she asked him.

She smiled when she heard her son talkinga about how Laura was keeping him safe and being good to him. "That's good sweetie," she told him. "It's just like how she kept you safe and happy when you two were little," she added as she could hear Laura softly speaking to Hoss, trying to keep him calm. "That's just one of her many jobs," Inger told Hoss. "And I know, even with the way you are feeling now, you are loving every minute of it," she added with a smile on her face. Then she heard Laura say something as she put her hand gently over Hoss's trembling hand, which was now on his heart.

But it was the next few things that Hoss said that broke her heart. "I know you don't feel good baby," she said. "I could hear it in your voice the moment you answered the phone," she added. "And I'll stay on here for as long as you need me too," she added. "Or at least I have to leave the bar that I'm sitting at," she said with a chuckle. "And I know you are scared. Everybody gets scared over one thing or another," she told him. "You know what I'm scared of?" she asked her son, trying to take his mind off the pain.

"It's okay little brother," Andrew told him. "Just take nice , slow and deep breaths," he told his little brother. He could hear Laura in the background. Andrew knew that Hoss was in good hands, despite the fact that he was totally scared. In fact Andrew  could the fear in Hoss's voice so he decided to calm him down the best way he knew how. "You just listen to everything Laura has to say," he told Hoss.

"You and I both know that you'e in good hands with her," he said. "And I know you are scared, because I'm scared too little brother. I'm scared of losing you and Adam," he said knowing he pobably shouldn't have mentioned Adam. "But I know both know you'e going to make it, if for no othe reason, because you have Lulu back," he said smiling, even though Hoss couldn't see it. 

"Now listen to me little brother," he said softly. "You let Laura help and get you settled into your room. I'll grab Joe and Jennie and we will be there soon," he said. "I'm sure you told Laura all about Jennie and Joe," he  added. "What did she say about meeting the two baby Cartwrights?" he asked with a chuckle. 

Inger didn't have to say anything as she heard the struggle that Hoss was having. And just hearing him, broke her heart, though she tried not to let it come through her tone. Inger cleared her throat as she began to speak to him softly and motherly. 

"Hey baby!" Inger said softly and happily. "How's my sweet baby?" she asked him. "Are you taking it easy?"she asked him. "Is Lulu there with you? I hope she is and is keeping you out of trouble," she said happily and then waited for his reply. 

Before Andrew could speak he could hear the struggles that Hoss was going through and that got him all worried. "Hoss it's Andrew," he said sounding very concerned for him. Andrew just knew that there was something majorly wrong with his little brother. "Little Brother," Andrew started. "Are you alright?" he asked him. "What's going on? Are you doing something you know you're not supposed to?" he asked Hoss, knowing he probably was. "Is someone there with you to drive you to the hospital?"  Andrew asked as all knds of thoughts were running through his mind.
