Laura chuckled as she shook her head at Hoss saying he has pride. "Honey, you are the least prideful person," she told him "You are selfless and honest and you also have grit," she told him as she kept him steady, though in the back of her mind, she didn't know what she would do if he was to fall. "But I promise I won't say a word to him. I'll let you do that yourself," she added smiling. 

"I know my love," she told him still smiling. "And I will always make that little boy, who is now my big handsome fiance, feel like he's got a friend, even though I know he's got lots of them," she told him. "You still doing okay, my love?" she asked him. "Do you need to sit down and rest for a little bit?" she asked him. 

"Don't you go fussing over me," she told him. "I'll rest once I know you're okay," she told him. "And can you blame me? I mean when the cutest 5 year old with sad blue eyes comes up to me and asked to me my friend because he didn't have any," she told him with a smile. "You best believe I'm gonna do everything to make sure he's well taken care of, no matter what he wants or needs," she said as she moved onto Ryan. 

"As for Ryan, yea he had his share of trouble, but mostly his face gets busted up because he's a professional boxer and working on becoming a professional MMA Fighter," she told him as she continued to hold Hoss steady while he dries himself off. "In fact, he's been labaled as a dangerous because of his fighting skills," she added. "And even if you were in perfect health, he would take you down, might be hurting after, but you wouldn't stand a chance," she said laughing. 

"Yea he is," she told him as she took his hand and began to help Hoss get out. "Though nowdays, you wouldn't reconize him if he was standing right in front of you," she told him not leaving Hoss's side. "He's had his face up several times that he's actually had to have plasic surgery to repair it a few times," she added. 

"Sweetheart, that's what love does. It stays strong even when you can't" she told him. "And that's what I'm going to do for you," she added. "I'm gonna be strong for you and love you through all of this. And I know you can do some of these things by yourself, even if it takes you a little while," she added. "But I feel much better if I'm close to you to keep an eye on you," she told him as she finally helped him out of the tub. As he stood there next to the tubl, Laura put her arms around him to help steady him as she handed him the towel to dry off. 

"And I always will, even when things get rough and we want to throw in the towel," she told him as she gently bent back and let the water out. Then she moved from Hoss's lap to the side of the tub. "And we know there will be times that we will wanna do just that," she told him. "I will still make sure you are well taken care of," she added as she then stood up and got out of the tub. 

Laura reached over for a town and began to clean herself off and once she was dry, she turned her attention to Hoss. ."Well, I'm just glad things worked out for him and that he has peace in his life, whether it be with your mom or Marie or Lynda or even Elizabeth," she told him. She shook her head sadly as she knew he was starting to hurt pretty good.

"Here, let me help you to the side of the tub," she told him as the last of fthe water drained out. "And I hope you are right, but just in case they don't, I have my own backup," she said playfully. She could see he was struggling to breathe a little as she helped him to the side of the tub. "Shh....baby take small deep and slow breathes," she said as she picked up the towel and gently rubbed his back. 

"You were more than just territorial," she said laughing. "You were just down right adoreable," she added. "You know, later that night on the train, Ryan told me something that I never will forget. He told me that having a best friend like you makes him feel a little bit bettter because he knew I would be well protected, so he wouldn't have to worry as much," she told him. "Now, do you need a few more minutes of rest or can you get out?" she asked him. 

"Good, there would be a catffight for sure," she said chuckling as she continued washing off the soap until there was no more on his chest or arms. She smiled at her work as she began to speak to him  again. "There, you are all handsome and clean for your trip to the doctor," she added as she went back to the subject of his family. 

"Well, as long as Ben is happy, then it that's all that matters," she told him. "And I can't wait to meet everyone and get to know them," she added happily. "Just I can't wait for you to meet my side of the family, though you already met Ryan when he came to pick me up way back when," she said laughing,.

"And of course you were so cute when you puffed up your little face and told Ryan that he better take extra care of me or else you would be mad and would hunt him down and beat him up," she said laughing. "It was so precious," she remembered happily. Then she got serious. "You ready to get out so that we can get this over with?" she asked him.
